We recently had the privilege of having Mr. Chuck Jaudes, Finance Manager – FFS Support Team, lead a training session on the update Roadmap to Profitability website tools.  There is a wealth of valuable information on the website to help you make more money.

One tool that you might want to invest a couple of hours (once a year) to set up is the Profit Generator Tool.  This is a web-based cash flow projection tool that is pre-populated with your restaurant’s actual information.  You complete some additional data input (planned equipment purchases for example) and this tool helps identify savings opportunities.  It will also show the impact of various system initiatives, crew labor changes and other cost strategies.

The Profit Generator Tool is located at www.mcdpg.com.  Each owner/operator received a link, username and password in an email from Chris Cole in December 2008.  If you need to request a new log-in, contact the National Profit Team at national.profit.team@us.mcd.com.  The website also includes a checklist of data to have available before you begin to prepare your projection.  Detail instructions are available on the website as well.
